Peshtigo, Wisconsin - Word has been received here of the apparent murder of Hubert Archambault, age 87, at his home in Rock Island, Illinois. Archambault's two sisters, Mrs. Frank Newbury and Mrs. Edmund Dupuis, Sr., both of Peshtigo, were advised Thursday that his body was found bound and gagged. Details were not available.
Mr. Archambault was born in Peshtigo on June 15, 1889 and moved to Rock Island about 60 years ago. He operated two rooming houses in Rock Island.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
