VIRGIL MCSHERRY EXPIRES TUESDAY
A maintenance man for the city schools, Virgil S. McSherry, 50, 2445 1/2 Chase St., died Tuesday afternoon at the Robert Long Hospital in Indianapolis after an illness of six months.
Survivors are: the widow, Leona; one son, Dale Thomas McSherry of Anderson; three stepsons, David H. Granger in the Air Force at El Paso, Tex. Larry Granger, at home, and Stephen Granger of New Castle; two step daughters, Vera Granger, at home and Mrs. Joyce Smith of Muncie; his step mother, Pearl McSherry of New Castle, and five grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Waltz and Hiday Funeral Home where friends may call after 1 p.m. Thursday. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. at the funeral home by the Rev. Henry Patterson. Burial will be in South Mound Cemetery, New Castle.
