CHRISTI ALTENBERN SIMPSON was born July 31, 1982 in Anchorage, Alaska. She died July 29, 2006 at her home on Eielson Air Force Base near Fairbanks, Alaska. At a young age, Christi moved with her family to Quail Valley in Missouri City, Texas. Through dedication and determination, Christi became a champion swimmer at a young age. She also enjoyed running track. She attended Elkins High School and received her high school diploma, later taking some College courses. On April 17, 2003, Christi began her life with her loving husband (LIVING) Simpson who joined the Air Force, and was stationed in Clovis, New Mexico and then in Fairbanks, Alaska last fall with their two loving children (LIVING) and (LIVING). Christi dreamed of returning to college and becoming a personal trainer before her sudden and unexpected death. Christi was a gentle and caring person who was always there for her friends and family. She was basically a shy person, but once you got to know her, she was a steadfast friend. She had a special touch for making those around her feel better about themselves when they were down and troubled. Christi was a beautiful person who saw beauty in the world around her. She had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh. She loved being outdoors with her pets and flowers. But most of all, her children were the center of her life. Christi was a devoted and caring mother and wife who would do anything for her family. Words cannot express how much she will be missed. Christi is survived by her husband (LIVING), children (LIVING) and (LIVING), her mother (LIVING) Crabb, her father (LIVING) Altenbern and wife (LIVING), her mother-in law and father-in law (LIVING) and (LIVING) Simpson, her maternal grandfather (LIVING) Wenger, her grandparents (LIVING) and (LIVING) Altenbern, her sisters (LIVING) Etheridge and (LIVING) Cutway, her brother (LIVING) Altenbern, her sister-in law (LIVING) Simpson, Brother-in Law (LIVING) Simpson; half sister, (LIVING) Crabb; step-brother, (LIVING) LeGrow; step sister, (LIVING) Cock; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
