Major League Baseball Player. He was an outfielder making his debut with the New York Highlanders on October 2, 1905. For thirteen seasons, he played for the New York Highlanders (1905), Philadelphia Athletics (1906-15, 1918) and New York Yankees (1916). He was a member of the Philadelphia Athletics World Series Championships (1911, 1913) and led the American League in fielding percentage three times (1910-11, 1915). He concluded his career with a record of 1268 hits, 616 runs scored, 27 home runs, 471 runs batted in and a .270 batting average. Oldring played in the minor leagues for several years after his major league career and also is a member of the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame.
