Klaus Abegg, 85, proprietor of Western Taxidermy and Sporting Goods, died Jan. 9, 1994, at his Colorado Springs home.
Memorial service held Thursday at Broadmoor Community Church, with the Rev. George Otto officiating. Cremation planned. Swan-law Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Mr. Abegg was born May 25, 1909, in Call, Germany, to Fritz and Ella (Fetz) Abegg.
He married Dec. 30, 1978, in Colorado Springs to Jewel Seale Abegg, who survives. He is also survived by sons, Karl of Lawrence, Kan., Roger of Cupertino, Calif., and David of Lampoc, Calif.; daughter, Barbara Inniss of Bradner, British Columbia; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
He lived in Colorado Springs for 45 years and was associated with the Kansas University Anthropology Department at one time.
He was an orchid lover and past president of the Denver Orchid Society and the Men's Garden Club, charter member of the Colorado Springs Orchid Society and the Broadmoor Community Church. He was also a member of the Independent Order of the Forester.
