Mr. Frederick Lyston "Teddy" Jennings, age 82, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on May 15, 1932, in Vevay, Indiana, the son of the late, Terrence M. "Terry" & Helen Cotton (Snyder) Jennings. He was raised in Vevay, Indiana, where he was a 1950 graduate of Vevay High School. Fred was inducted into the United States Air Force on April 28, 1952 in Indianapolis, Indiana, serving during Korean War. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal & the United Nations Service Medal. Fred was honorably discharged with the rank of Airman First Class on April 27, 1956 at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. Fred was united in marriage to Martha Ann (Ayler) Sloan & to this union arrived a son to bless their home. He was a life member of the Vevay American Legion Post #185 & the Vevay VFW Post #5396. Teddy resided in the Vevay Community all of his life. Fred will be remembered for his love of woodworking & fishing. Teddy died at 12:15 am, Sunday, May 18, 2014, at the King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana.

Teddy will be missed by his son: Fredrick Michael Jennings & his wife: Crystal of Vevay, IN; his granddaughter: Krystal Dawn Gravely & her husband: Richard of Alaska; his step-granddaughters: Kayla Hall & Courtney Hall.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Terrence M. "Terry" Jennings, died May 10, 1992, Helen Cotton (Snyder) Jennings, died March 30, 1995; his brother: Michael Jennings.

Graveside Services & Interment will be conducted at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana. Full military rites will be conducted by the Honor Guard of the Vevay American Legion Post #185 & the Vevay VFW Post #5396 at the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.

Friends may call 10:00 am - 11:00 am, Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.
