Mrs. Betty L. (Long) French, 86, of Williamsport, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning, May 21, 2014, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on November 30, 1927 in Boonsboro, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Mary E. (Holmes) Long. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Fred Kephart and Wayne French.

Betty was a graduate of Boonsboro High School.

She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Williamsport.

Betty worked as a seamstress for Keefauver Dry Cleaners in Hagerstown, Maryland for many years.

She is survived by her four sons, Clyde, Shane, Randy, and Ricky French. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.

A graveside service will follow the visitation on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at the Boonsboro Cemetery. Pastor Mark Chapman from Lighthouse Baptist Church in Williamsport will officiate.
