Prince, Hotelier, race car driver. His was a noble family from Tbilisi, Georgia, exiled after the the overthrow of Tsarist Russia. In 1931, the Prince won the Touring Car Grand Prix, 24 Hours of Spa in Belgium. He was twice married, once to Audrey Emery, the Cincinnati heiress and socialite who had once been married to Grand Duke Dmitri Pavlovich of Russia, and then to Sylvia Hawkes Ashley. Dmitri and Sylvia were married for 23 years before her death.

According to the book, "Hollywood Remembered: An Oral History of its Golden Age" by Paul Zolio, Prince Dmitri is buried next to his wife, Princess Sylvia Djordjadze aka Sylvia Ashley. However, other sources have him buried here, in Menton. I've gone with Menton, but wanted to leave mention that some sources have him in Hollywood Forever. Please do NOT suggest that I change burial place back to Hollywood Forever--I have been dealing with folks telling me he's not there for years. So I moved him here by accepting an edit. It's done.

*Note: some sources spell this surname “Jorjadze.”
