AMORY - Lois Boyd Faulkner, 80, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 1996, as a result of an automobile accident on Highway 278 East of Amory. She was born and a life long resident of Monroe county. She had lived most of lifetime in the Quincy community. She was a graduate of the Amory City School. She was married to Isaac Taft Faulkner in 1945 until his death in 1982. She had worked before retirement as a secretary for the Monroe County Circuit Clerk. She was a member of the Quincy Methodist and Baptist Church. She was a Methodist member. She taught Sunday School. She was secretary for the Durrett Cemetery. Her hobbies included reading and crochet work.

Services were at 2 p.m. Oct. 20 at the E.E.Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with the Rev. Darrell Sanderson officiating. Burial was in the Durrett Cemetery.

Survivors include one son, Dale Faulkner and his wife, Jenne, of Beloit, Wisc.; a daughter-in-law, June Faulkner of Quincy;two grandchildren, Patty Faulkner and Angela Faulkner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Ethel Boyd and Mary Flemming Morgan Boyd; a son, Keith Taft Faulkner; two brothers, Dalton Boyd and Oren Dale Boyd; two sisters, Mary Ethel Boyd and Lillian Boyd.
