Daughter of Alexander and Margaret (Horan) Florentine was born while her father served in the Army stationed at Fort McHenry in Baltimore, Maryland.

In 1880 she is enumerated in San Francisco with her parents and siblings: William, Walter, Mary, Alexander, Margaret, Edward H., Josephine, George.

Elizabeth married Andrew G. Heyl about 1885. In 1900 the couple are living at 962 E. 4th St. in Los Angeles, Andrew is a druggist, the couple have been married 15 years, and are childless. George Florentine age 20 a photographer and brother of Elizabeth is in their household.

In 1910 Elizabeth a widow, chambermaid, is in a household headed by her mother Margaret at 1431 East 23rd Street in Los Angeles. Her brother Walter a laborer at the Water Company and a niece, Margaret Little age 8 is there also.

In 1920 Elizabeth, widow, ironer in laundry, is head of household comprised of: Margaret (her mother), George, assistant engineer at Water Company.

In 1930 Elizabeth (hotel maid), is in a household headed by her brother George who is single, electrical engineer. And residents Charles R. Davis, a brother-in-law (steward on train); Josephine Davis her sister, and Margaret Little (Josephine's daughter), clerk in city court are also in the household.

On 12 March 1932 Elizabeth entered Methodist Hospital in Los Angeles and had an operation for an acute intestinal obstruction. She suffered an acute cardiac episode on 18 March 1932 at 3:38 p.m. that resulted in her death.

Burial took place at Calvary Cemetery on 22 March 1932.
