On 12 March 1932 Elizabeth entered Methodist Hospital in Los Angeles and had an operation for an acute intestinal obstruction. She suffered an acute cardiac episode on 18 March 1932 at 3:38 p.m. that resulted in her death.
Burial took place at Calvary Cemetery on 22 March 1932.
