Nicholas Strotz, one of Chicago's oldest residents, died Wednesday at his home, No. 658 La Salle avenue. He was born in Luxembourg in 1831, and came to Chicago with his parents in 1844. For nearly thirty years he had been in the business of manufacturing tobacco. He was prominent in the Masonic and Odd-Fellows circles and was a member of several social clubs. He leaves an estate valued at $200,000.
