At a meeting of the Woman's Home and Family Missionary Society of the Baptist church of Stanberry Missouri, the following resolutions were adopted:
Whereas it has pleased the ALMIGHTY and ALL WISE CREATOR, the RULER OF THE UNIVERSE, to remove from our Associations and this Society, our beloved sister Emma Stockton, be it therefore RESOLVED, that, by the death of our sister, this society mourns the departure of one who has been a faithful and devoted member, a true, consecrated, earnest worker for Jesus-and who in her last hours was a child of God, and fully realized her Christian responsibility as a worker in the Lord's Vineyard, One whose life is worthy of emulation."
