Burrton, Kansas – Clara Dee Chappell, 81, passed away June 19, 2014, at her home in Burrton. She was born Sept. 17, 1932, in Oxford, Kansas, the daughter of Frank and Emma Richards Hurst.
She had owned and operated the Happy Hair Salon in Burrton for many years, and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She married Don Chappell on Sept. 10, 1960, at Salina.
She was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Shane Chappell; and four brothers, Archie, Lewis, Donald, and Phillip Ray.
