Claremont resident Nanci Nicholl Parker died unexpectedly on April 14, 1995 following a presumed heart attack while visiting friends in San Diego. Ms. Parker was 49 years of age. Ms. Parker was born in San Francisco, California on March 19, 1946, but lived in Claremont most of her life. She was a member of the Claremont High Class of 1964. Described by her family as "an eclectic and creative person," Ms. Parker worked in the medical profession for more than 25 years. Most recently she was a medical administrator at St. Luke's Hospital in Pasadena. Ms. Parker enjoyed traveling and tending to her patio garden, according to her family. She had made recent trips to Mexico and to Oregon to visit family. Ms. Parker is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Parker Pfau of Claremont; by her son, Ed Parker of Merced, California; by her mother, Eloise Nicholl of Upland; by her sisters, Janet Nicholl and Mary West, both of Upland; by her brothers, Robert Nicholl of Grants Pass, Oregon, and Scott Nicholl of Redlands, and by 3 nieces and a nephew. Memorial services were held at Todd Memorial Chapel in Claremont and followed by a gathering of friends and family at the home of Ms. Parker's mother. (Claremont Courier)
