Beneath this monument rest the mortal remains of Mrs. Mary Featherston: every virtue that adorned the female character was hers. She lived without a fault, and died without an enemy; this monument is raised by one who knew her best and loved her most, and who can but grieve and deplore an event which is her eternal gain.
