Thomas Leon Cox, 79, of Alamo, Texas, passed away June 24, 2014, in Fayetteville, Ark. He was born Nov. 1, 1934, in Winnsboro, Texas, to Darrell and Loviebelle (Boles) Cox.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam. Prior to retirement, he was a mechanical engineer for Texas Instrument. Thomas was a member of the Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville.
Survivors include a son; a special friend; a brother; three sisters; and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada; and two grandchildren, Gwendolyn and Zachary.
A funeral service will be held at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at 2 p.m.
Interment will be at a later date at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville.
Visitation will be Friday, June 27, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel in Rogers.
