Helen T. (Czelusniak) “ Mimi” Beaudry, 92, born March 26, 1919, in Willimantic, to the late Katrina (Stoj) and John Czelusniak, passed peacefully on Feb 2, 2012 at Hartford Hospital. She was the beloved wife of 69 years to the late Wilfred Beaudry and is survived by her children, Claudia and Michael Siniscalchi of Moultonborough, NH, and Larry and Pam Beaudry of South Windsor, as well as three grandchildren, Deb Sgambelluri and her husband Mike of Greenwich, NY, Jason Siniscalchi and his wife Lynn of Salem, and Daniel Beaudry and his wife, Elena of Chelmsford , MA. She also leaves three delightful great-grand children, Nina and Julia Sgambelluri, and Mateo Beaudry, and was happily awaiting the arrival of two more. Mimi also has four surviving siblings, Victoria Sotek of Whitinsville, MA, Martha LaFramboise of Columbia, George Czelusniak of Willimantic and William Czelusniak of Columbia, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Joseph, Stanley, and Edward, and by her sisters Mary, and Evangeline. Growing up in Willimantic in a vigorous family of 10 children, Mimi eventually held a number of jobs in the manufacturing industry. She married in 1938 and moved to Hartford, where she was employed by Colts Manufacturing. After World War II, she and her husband moved to South Windsor, where she had resided since 1947. In addition to being a mother and a wife, she held a variety of jobs and retired from Pratt & Whitney after a 25 year career. In her early years in South Windsor. Helen belonged to the Grange, and she was involved in a duckpin bowling league. In the later years, she belonged to the South Windsor Senior Center Setback Club and enjoyed traveling with the senior citizens. After her retirement, she and Wilfred traveled extensively through out the US and Canada, and also toured Europe and Africa, as well as the Caribbean. She especially enjoyed being with family and friends, playing cards, taking walks, and traveling. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were special joys in her life, and she particularly welcomed holidays with them. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 673 Ellington Road, South Windsor. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery, South Windsor. Her family will receive friends on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor. Memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Institute for the Blind Oak Hill, 120 Holcomb Street, Hartford, CT 06112.
