Singer, Songwriter, Musician. He was born Robert Dwayne Womack. In the 1960's the group was discovered by Sam Cooke, who later signed the group to his SAR label, they soon recorded Lookin For A Love. He was also Sam Cooke's backing guitarist. In 1964 the group was left in limbo when Cooke was shot and killed. In 1966 the group recorded two singles Do It Right and Let's Get Together. In 1971 Bobby signed with United Artists Records and released That's The Way I Feel About Cha. He wrote and recorded The Rolling Stones first UK (United Kingdom) #1 hit, It's All Over Now. He is most notable for such recordings as Womam's Gotta Have It, Harry Hippie, Across 110th Street, If You Think Your Lonely Now, Where Do We Go From Here and many more. In the early 1980's his career slowed down partially due to his drug usage. In the mid 1990's he recorded Resurrection and he continued with his performance career. In 2009 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, however, The Valentinos were not inducted with him. In 2012 he released his first album in more than 10 years, The Bravest Man in the Universe. (bio by: Babe)
