MADISONVILLE, Ky. -- Adolph "Chris" Christenson Jr., 76, of Madisonville, died at 12:32 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2002, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.

He was born in Sturgeon Bay, Wis., on Sept. 7, 1925, to the late Adolph and Alice Samuelson Christenson Sr. He was a salesman at Madisonville Motors, a Naval airman, a Lutheran, and a member of American Legion Post 6.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Christenson .

He is survived by his wife, Anna Sue Christenson of Madisonville; two daughters, Pam Germundson of Northfield, Minn., and Kim Christenson of Stanchfield, Minn.; two sons, Matt Christenson of Minneapolis, Minn., and Brad Christenson of Blaine, Minn.; one stepdaughter, Debbie Fields of Madisonville; two stepsons, Jackie Kirk of Terre Haute, Ind., and Darrell Kirk of Madisonville; his stepmother, June Kagel of Tucson, Ariz.; one half brother, David Christenson of Michigan; four grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; one step-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with the Rev. Jeff Hendricks officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Friday at the funeral home.
