Mrs. Goldie S. Ammons of Greensboro Star Route, wife of Donley Ammons, died at 8:40 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 1952 in the Greene County Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness. She was 62,
Mrs. Ammons was a daughter of the late William and Eleanor Shriver Orndoff and was born Feb. 10, 1890 in Franklin Township. She was twice-married. Her first husband, Murrill Shultz, died in 1927, and she married Donley Ammons in 1936.
Mrs. Ammons was a member of the Claughton Chapel Methodist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters by her first marriage, Mrs. Theodore Blaker of Waynesburg and Mrs. Mable Guthrie of Waynesburg; one granddaughter, and one brother, John C. Orndoff of Waynesburg.
