McWhirter and family of Nashville, spent Sunday here with relatives.While here they got word of the drowning of their youngest son Lew at 11:00 AM . Sunday. He is survived by his father and mother and two brothers, Thomas Gafford and ErnestPowell and one sister Mrs. Wade Louise McCann. He is the nephew of Sallie Dunlap, G. Rogers and Newton P. McWhirter, of this place. He has visited here and made a host of friends. He was 21 years of age.
