Noted for his unique Scouse accent, he began his career in 1964, appearing on the TV series “ITV Play of the Week” and “Murder Ahoy”. His other television credits included “The Challengers”, “A Family at War”, “The Wackers”, “Z Cars”, “The Liver Birds” and many more. For feature films, he appeared in “Kes” (1969), “Night Watch” (1973), “Scum” (1975), “Slayground” (1983) and “Priest” (1994). He died of a heart attack at age 78 in Wirral, England.
