Owen Childers, 91, passed from this life on July 17, 2014 in Owasso, Oklahoma. Owen was born on March 17, 1923 in Wagoner, Oklahoma to Ellis B. and Tina (Starks) Childers.
He served in the U.S. Marines during WWII. He was a Lieutenant Security for McDonnell-Douglas.
Owen was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Grace Childers; wife, Hazel Virginia Childers; daughter, Connie Sue Childers; parents Ellis B. and Tina Childers; four brothers, Clarence Childers, Ernest Childers, Anderson Childers & Buck Childers.
He is survived by three sons, two daughters, four step-children, 11 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, July 21, 2014 from 12:00-8:00 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home with funeral service being held 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be held at Park Grove Cemetery.
