Faith Kincaid Cornwell, 94, of Pekin, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Illinois Veteran's Home in Quincy.

Faith was born June 29, 1920 in Pekin to Albert S. Kincaid, a tax man and accountant for Pekin Plumbing and Bertha Irene Breaden, a school teacher and milliner-hat maker.

Faith met and married her first love, Vincent Joseph Fioravante, during World War II. She later married James D. Conley. Surviving are two sons, Eugene Louis (Maria) Fioravante and James D. Conley, II, both of Miami, Florida; and one daughter, Cheryl I. Conley Massey of Pekin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Harry A. Herget, who helped raise her; and three brothers, Kenneth Dean Kincaid, John Stuart Kincaid and James Blair Kincaid.

Pekin Memorial Hospital was where Faith made her career. She began on the Pediatrics floor, and later in the emergency room, as a registered nurse for 35 years.

Faith served in the United States Army Nurse Corp during World War II in the European Theater at 222 Station Hospital, attaining the rank of 2nd Lieutenant.

Faith will be buried at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin with military honors will be rendered by the Tazewell Military Rites Team and the United States Army.
