Mrs. CLARA T. HAMILTON, widow of former Governor Wm. T. Hamilton, died at the Mercy Hospital, Baltimore, of pneumonia, Monday afternoon, following an accident which occurred last week while Mrs. Hamilton was a guest at the Rennert Hotel, when she fell in a bath tub, scalding herself.

Mrs. Hamilton was 86 years old and until recent months had been active in connection with the community life of this city. She had managed a large estate with mental vigor and remarkable business acumen since the death of Governor Hamilton in 1888.

Mrs. Hamilton is survived by the following children: Richard Jenness Hamilton, Mrs. Julia Briscoe, wife of James T. Briscoe, Hagerstown; Mrs. Clare Eames, wife of Lieut Col Hayden Eames, Cleveland and New York; Mrs. Joseph E. Maxim, wife of Hiram P. Maxim, Hartford, Conn.; William T.
