Mrs. Alice James, 59, of N. Main Street, Mineral Ridge, died at Trumbull Memorial Hospital at 2 p.m. Tuesday after a brief illness.

Born in New Castle, September 18, 1889 the daughter of Thomas and Mary Murray Davis, she had resided in Mineral Ridge for the past 25 years.

Surviving are her husband, Henry; three daughters, Mrs. Violet Quinn, Salem, Mrs. Margaret Daniels, Warren, and Mrs. Mildred Harshman, Youngstown; two sons, Jack Evans, Warren, and Walter Evans, with the U.S. Navy; three sisters and six grandchildren.

The body is at the Lane Funeral Home in Mineral Ridge where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in charge of Rev. David Yost. Burial will be in Kerr Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday evening.
