Marvin F. Hilts of Blairstown, NJ, 72 years of age
passed away at his home in Blairstown on
March 13, 2014, where he had resided for over 20 years.
He was previously from Roselle, NJ. He was born
in Elizabeth, NJ. on January 6, 1942, to the late
Marvin P. and Margaret Huffenus Hilts. He was
a design Engineer, retired from BASF, Mt. Olive NJ.
and previously with both Dupont and Foster Wheeler,
He had served actively in the US Navy from 1960-1962
and subsequently served in the reserves for many years.
He had been a member of the Blairstown Masonic
Lodge No.165 and also the Theodore Roosevelt Masonic
Lodge No.219 of Carteret, NJ. and had been an active
member for many years of the Blairstown American Legion.
He is Survived by his wife, Peggy (Godfrey)3 daughters
Barbara Christine Ogonowski, Toms River, NJ.
Debra Suzanne Esparra, Linden, NJ.
Kathleen Mary Hilts, Roselle, NJ.
Two Sons Marc William Hilts, High Bridge, NJ.
& Michael Matthew Hilts, Elizabeth, NJ.
and eight grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
& Two Step Sons James Matthew Thompson, Belleview Fl.
& John Joseph Thompson, Toms River NJ.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, one
grandchild, his parents and grandparents
