He was survived by four brothers, Dale G. George, Galen W. George, and Glenn E. George, all of Carlisle and Cloyd W. George of Port Charlotte, FL; and a sister, Patsy G. Myers. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Chester George and a sister, Clover McLaughlin.
Roy was a life long member of the Newville Church of the Brethren. He participated in CPARC, enjoyed trips to the Gettysburg Battlefield, and trips to see Harrisburg Senators baseball games. He was a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Interment: Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
