Radio/Television Producer and Music Publisher. Born as Ely Earl Siman, Jr in southwest Missouri. Si Siman worked in radio, producing syndicated radio shows with such notable stars as Smiley Burnette, Tennessee Ernie Ford, George Morgan and others. Si produced the first country music network television show, "The Ozark Jubilee" for the ABC television network. He later became active in the music publishing industry. His songs, such as "The Letter" and "Always On My Mind" won him a Grammy Award and the "Song of the Year" award in 1982 and 1983. He was an original member of the Country Music Association and he is also listed in "Who's Who in Country Music". Much of his work is on display at the Ralph Foster Museum at the College of the Ozarks, near Branson, Missouri.
