Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock for Charles S. Kerr, aged 52 years, well known Carmichaels resident, who died at his home Monday night, January 4, 1932, following a three day illness of pneumonia. The services were conducted in his late home by Rev. John O. Miller, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Carmichaels, officiating. Interment was in the Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels. A son of the late David and Susan Neil Kerr, he was a lifelong resident of the Carmichaels community and was widely known. For a number of years he was engaged in the feed and transfer business in Carmichaels. Besides his wife, Laura Ruse Kerr, he leaves one son, Ruby, at home, and also one grandchild.
