Phyllis Squeglia, age 104, of West Haven, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 22, 2014. Born on June 22, 1910 in New Haven, CT, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lillian Johnson Manacchio. During her life, Phyllis worked as a lab assistant at Yale New Haven. Known for her great sense of humor, Phyllis loved to do things with her family.

She was also a member of the St. Lawrence Guild in West Haven. Phyllis will be remembered for her love and kindness and will be deeply missed. Phyllis is survived by her son, Nicholas Squeglia and his wife Joan, her daughter-in-law, Eleanor Squeglia, her grandchildren, Vanessa, Nicholas, Jacqueline, Marie Ann and her great-grandson, Shane. She is also survived by her sisters, Helen Burness and Laura Rudolph. In addition to her husband, Nicholas, she was predeceased by her son, Peter and her sibilings; Carmel Cote, Bernard Zambrano and her sisters, Mary Hussey and Lucille Wnek.

Friends and family may call on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT 06460.
