Trena was born in Muskegon, Michigan, the daughter of Edward and Iva (Ault) Schultz. She was married on March 28, 1934, to Charles "Ben" Ross, and he preceded her in death in 2003. She served our troops during World War II by baking cookies for our servicemen overseas. She had worked at Howmet Corporation until retiring, and was also an active member of Rothbury Community Church. Trena passed away to Heaven, and is survived by her daughter, Janet (Norval) Boardwell; grandchildren, Jeff (Becky) Reid, Julie (Mike) Elis, Eric (Eileen) Ross, Sue Melbourf, Matthew (Pam) Boardwell, Aaron (Jodi) Boardwell, Nathan (Emily) Boardwell and Elizabeth Boardwell; 23 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Ralph (Peg) Schultz; and a daughter-in-law, Loretta (Mike) Timmich. She was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Ross; a daughter, Arlene Reid; four brothers, Laverne Schultz, Ralph Schultz, Carl Schultz and Ardeen Schultz; and a sister, Vivian Warren. Funeral services were held at Rothbury Community Church in Rothbury, with the Rev. James C. Enns and Rev. Matthew Boardwell officiating.
