The funeral services for Mrs. C. E. S. Wood, who was socially prominent in Portland for many years before the lingering illness which ended with her death yesterday morning, will be held at her home, 1128 Southwest Vista avenue, Thursday. The service will be private, for only relatives and a few intimate friends.
Mrs. Wood was 78 years of age when her death occurred. She was born in Baltimore, Md., January 12, 1855, and came to Portland in the early ‘80s. She had been a member of the Town club.
Surviving her are four children; Erskine Wood, Berwick Bruce Wood, Mrs. David T. Honeyman, all of Portland and Mrs. G. Kirkham Smith of San Rafael, Cal.
