Patrick F. Carroll, 74, for 45 years an employee of the Louisville and Nashville railroad terminals here, died Sunday afternoon at his home, 326 Twenty-first avenue, north, following 10 days illness.

Mr. Carroll was born in Wheeling, W. Va., but came here when a child. He was a devout communicant of the Cathedral of the Incarnation where requiem high mass will be held at 9 o’clock Tuesday morning followed by burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Funeral services will be held at the residence at 8:45 o’clock Tuesday morning. Pallbearers will be John Hartnett, William Fulghum, W. A. Welsh, Tom Swords, W. T. Courtney, Dan Sanders, Sr., W. S. Taylor and John F. Gaffney, Sr.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary Cuniff Carroll; four sons, Thomas J., William T., J. D. Carroll of Nashville and Charles M. Carroll of Jackson; two daughters, Mrs. J. T. Fulghum and Mrs. John A. Melody, and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Carpenter and Mrs. Kate Cuniff. Martin and Connelly, 2403 West End. 7-3166.
