Actor. Born Lawrence F. Koehler, was an early silent film star in Berlin, Germany, although he was an American by birth. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to German parents, but spent his young adult life and middle years in Berlin. He starred in over twenty silent films between 1917 and 1925 under the stage name Rolf Loer. His 1919 film "Um Diamanten und Frauen" (Of diamonds and ladies) also starred Paul Westermeier, featured actor in Berlin-Alexanderplatz. Mr. Koehler's last film was "Schicksal" (Fate), filmed in 1924-1925, also starring Conrad Veidt of Casablanca fame.
