Composer. He was born in Valencia, Comunidad Valenciana, Spain. He developed a prolific career that include operas such as "El Soñador" or "Morel", zarzuelas such as "Los Mendigos" and "Foc en l'Era," popular songs such "Una Nit d'Albaes" and "Es Xopà Hasta la Moma" and the popular pasodoble "L'Entrada de la Murta." From 1871 to 1879, he lived in Madrid, where known the composers Barbieri and Bretón. There, he composed the "Requiem Mass" for the funeral of the queen María de las Mercedes, the wife of the king Alfonso XII. He died in his hometown of Valencia.
