Major League Baseball Player. The right-hander had a sensational rookie season with the Chicago Cubs in 1957, going 15-11 with a 3.58 earned run average for 229 innings pitched. He led the National League in walks (129) that year. Her slipped to 7-11 in 1958 and struggled the rest of his big-league career. He was with the Cubs from 1957 to 1961 and the Houston Colt 45s from 1962 to 1963. He was picked by Houston in the expansion draft and had a 2-12 record and 4.98 ERA in 1963. His lifetime totals were 27-46 with a 4.70 ERA.
