Sarah Stroud Haygood was the sister of Eli Stroud and according to original records of the cemetery, she was the first person buried in this family graveyard.
Her husband, James Haygood, was buried in the Uchee Grove Cemetery.

They were married March 22, 1807 in Clarke County, Georgia.

Sarah was the twin of Mary (Polly) Haygood.
