Daisy Jeanette Parnell Hunziker, 90, of Angleton passed away at her home on Sunday morning, November 9, 2014 with family at her bedside. She was born in Grimes County to Enoch Elwood Parnell and Isabella Blondie Snook on October 24, 1924.
Daisy raised six children and was always ready to help with family and friends when she was needed. Which was often because everyone knew they could count on her. She went to work at a Dow plant where she met and married Donald. Their union lasted 35 years. After they both retired they bred and raised toy Poodles. Taking as many as 10 with them when they traveled.
Daisy is survived by her husband, Donald E. Hunziker; children, Edward Mathews (Carolyn), Pat Alfrey, Jeanette Wilcox, Judy Parrish (Tommy) and Mona Coffey Park; siblings, Lillie Anding, Wayne Parnell (Mary), Pete Parnell and Linda Holt. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 14 great great-grandchildren; as well as numerous other family members and many friends.
Daisy was preceded in death by her parents, Enoch and Isabella Parnell; three brothers, J.W., Jack and Bobby Parnell; her oldest son, Otis Odell Mathews; one grandson, Allen Jones and her great-granddaughter, Cynthia Jeanette Davenport.
Memorial services are set for Friday, November 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. It will be held at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, 2030 N. Brazosport Blvd. (Hwy288B), Richwood.
