Rock Musician. He was the long time vocalist for the shock-rock heavy metal band "GWAR," performing under the moniker of 'Oderous Urungus." He co-founded the band in 1984 as a guitarist, but took over the vocal two years later. He led the band as it cultivated a longtime career performing intentionally outrageous stage shows that frequently depicted faux-violence and horror movie-esque props, such as great amount of fake blood. Brockie and the band recorded twelve releases over a 25 year period and produce twenty-five concert and documentary videos. He died of a drug overdose in March 2014, which left the band with no founding members.
