Robert Marshall Putt, 75, of 394 17th St. SE, died Sunday in St. Luke's Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born March 26, 1913, at Lorain, Ohio. Mr. Putt attended college from 1930 to 1954, graduating from Wittenberg College at Springfield, Ohio, University of Chicago and Chicago Theological Seminary, where he received degrees in education, sociology and French.
Mr. Putt was employed as a counselor, teacher and minister for many years prior to coming to Cedar Rapids in 1972. He later worked for CETA for over 10 years until his retirement and was a member of People's Church Unitarian Universalist.
There are no immediate survivors.
Services: 3 p.m. Thursday, Turner Chapel East, by the Rev. Jeremy Brigham of People's Church Unitarian Universalist. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion....
