Kenneth Joseph Roux, age 79, passed away on Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at a local care center.

Mr. Roux was a lifetime resident of Cameron Parish and a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dee Roux; his parents, William and Rosie Roux; and brothers, Archie, Bailey and Roland Roux.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law of Cypress, Texas; one sister of Houston; and one granddaughter of Cypress, Texas.

Memorial service were Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, in Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Brother Ed Smith officiated.

The family would like to send out a special thank-you to the staff and residents at the Guardian and the Gardens for the care and friendship given to our father, father-in-law and grandfather during his stay at their facility. Also, to Odyssey Hospice for their care and compassion for him and our family.
