Major League Baseball Player. The right-hander, born in Guines, was one of several Cubans who pitched for the Washington Senators before the franchise moved to Minnesota and became the Twins. Others included Connie Marrero, Sandy Consuegra, Raul Sanchez, Camilio Pascual and Pedro Ramos. Moreno was with Washington from 1950 to 1953. He was 5-11 in 1951 and 9-9 with a 3.97 earned run average with seven complete games in 22 starts in 1952. He finished 18-22 with a 4.25 ERA and 14 complete games in 45 starts.
