David Reed Barnett, 89, of San Angelo died Tuesday, June 17, 1997,
at his residence.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 19, in Lawnhaven
Memorial Gardens with Stanley Lockhart officiating. Arrangements
are by Johnson's Funeral Home.
Mr. Barnett was born Oct. 7, 1907, in Honey Grove and had lived in
San Angelo since 1943. He was a meat cutter for 'M' System and Handy Packing for many
years and had been a farmer.
He was preceded in death in 1996 by Ethelyne Newhouse Barnett, his wife of 64 years. They were
members of the Johnson Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, Joan Keating and husband, James, of
San Angelo; two grandchildren, Julie Lawlis and husband, Scott, of
San Angelo and Todd Keating of Houston; and two great-grandsons, Matthew Scott Lawlis, and Tanner Reed Lawlis
