French nobility. Born in Rouen as the only daughter of Henri IV and his long time mistress Gabrielle d'Estrées. When she was three her mother died in childbirth and when she was thirteen her father was assassinated. In 1619 she was married Charles de Lorraine, Duke of Elbeuf and bore him six children.
