Services for Clarence Calvin Kittrell were at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel, Gainesville, Texas. Officiating was Bradley Lambert, former Associate Pastor of Vilott Baptist Church.

Born November 15, 1946, in Gainesville, the son of James and Leatha Busby Kittrell, Mr. Kittrell died April 22, 1997, in the Gainesville Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Kittrell was a retired driller, associated with Kittrell Power Tongs for more than 18 years. He and the former Linda Darlene Mayo were married September 20, 1965 in Gainesville. Mr. Kittrell was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Linda Darlene Kittrell of Gainesville; his mother, Leatha Mae Busby Kittrell of Marietta; two sons, Larry Calvin Kittrell of Myra, Texas, and David Dawayne Teafatiller of Gainesville; a daughter, Angela Darlene Lambert of Gainesville; two brothers, James Orville Kittrell of Montague, Texas, and Herman Wallie Kittrell of Chico, Texas; six sisters, Bonnie Gann of Lubbock, Texas, Goldie Odell Glidewell of Thackerville, Ruth Robinson of Lake Kiowa, Texas, Sue Cavitt of Marietta, Carolyn Hogan of Gainesville, and Gelema Thomas of Oklahoma City; and nine grandchildren.

Mr. Kittrell was preceded in death by his father, James Daniel Kittrell in 1972; and a brother, Larry Don Kittrell on October 2, 1968.

Arrangements were directed by Clement-Keel Funeral Home with interment in Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville. Nephews served as casket bearers.
