Hastings resident, Edith Virginia Willcock, 87, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Services will be Saturday, January 10, 2015; 10:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Charles M. Webster officiating. Burial will be in Kenesaw Cemetery, Kenesaw.

Edith was born May 1, 1927 to Ralph & Dora (Chaney) Frasier at Giltner, Nebraska. They moved to Hastings with she was two years old. Edith attended Hastings Public Schools and graduated from Hastings Senior High in 1945. She married Mavis Dale Stansberry, Sr. on August 17, 1947; he passed away in March 1956. She married Norman Whyrich in September 1957; they later divorced. She married Elton Willcock on July 3, 1965; he passed away on April 26, 2006. Edith worked at CD Hoff Cleaners after graduation until she was married in 1947 and worked as a care staff member at Village Grace at Good Samaritan Village and at Montgomery Wards until she retired. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she was very active in different groups; Hastings Presbyterian Women Quilters, Presbyterian Women’s Circle, the Hastings Quilting Guild and the Adams County Historical Society.

Edith was preceded in death by her two husbands; one son, Mavis Dale Stansberry, Jr.; parents; one sister, Dorothy Rauscher; two brothers, Ralph Frasier, Jr. and William Howard “Pete” Frasier; two granddaughters; and one great-grandson.
