The owner/operator of Bob Clift Liquor Store and living on Rural Route 1, Madison, he was 46 years old when he was badly injured in an automobile wreck on a Davidson County highway on August 23, 1942 and died the next day at Madison Sanitarium and Hospital. Burial was on August 26th in Spring Hill Cemetery, Madison.
