Major League Baseball Player. A native of Montague, Michigan, he played for the Detroit Tigers from 1917 to 1923, Boston Red Sox from 1923 to 1929, Washington Senators in 1929, and the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1929 to 1930. The 5'9, and 165lbs, Flagstead made his debut on July 20, 1917, and played his final game on July 29, 1930. He passed away from heart disease in Olympia, Washington, in 1940, at the age of 46.
