GREENSBORO -- Mrs. Octavia Harris Apple, 93, of 901 Glenwood St., formerly of Durham for over 40 years, died January 13, 1996, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be 2:00 PM Monday at Faith Baptist Church, 3106 South Holden Road. Interment will be at Guilford Memorial Park.
Mrs. Apple was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Mr. Clyde Felix Apple; sons, Christopher C. Apple and David L. Apple; and daughter, Toby Faye Holmes.
Mrs. Apple is survived by her son, Charles E. Apple of Jacksonville, FL; daughters, Lorene Garner of Asheboro, Peggy Lou Johnson of Durham, Doris Marie Geis of Cary, and Mary Joan Fuller of Timberlake; grandson raised as son, Richard Lloyd of Chesapeake Bay, VA; daughter-in-law, Hazel Apple of Hillsborough; and sisters, Sallie Watkins and Letha Moore, both of Greensboro. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
